When I think of summertime, one of the first things that comes to mind is sipping sangria on the beach. It’s fruity, refreshing and gives the perfect buzz. I love a good batch of red sangria, but truthfully, nothing beats the crispness of white wine sangria. For all you Pinot Grigio ~Gurls~, this one is for you!
Summertime White Sangria
1 bottle of Pinot Grigio
1 bottle of champagne
½ cup of vodka
1 carton of peach nectar
1 carton of blackberries
2 nectarines, sliced
First, slice and toss the fruit into a pitcher. I chose blackberries and nectarines since they are seasonal and delicious. Feel free to use whatever fruit you would like! The best part about sangria, after all, is the fruit…
Just kidding, it’s the alcohol. This recipe has no shortage of that! Once the fruit is added, pour in the Pinot Grigio and the vodka. Then, add the peach nectar to the pitcher and give it stir. I was craving that peachy summertime flavor, but there are countless varieties of nectars out there. Pick your favorite and get fruity with it!
Let the sangria chill in the fridge preferably overnight.
When it is time to serve, add some fruit and ice to a glass, fill halfway with the sangria and top off with champagne. Fruit, boozy and fizzy too!
Now it is time to head down to the beach with your batch of sangrias in tow!
Relax with your paws in the sand.
A Corona or two won’t hurt either…
I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. Cheers!
