Hello fellow beauty lovers! It’s been a hot minute since I have served up a heaping hot plate of skincare and beauty favies. I cannot wait to share them with ya’ll, so let’s skip the typically long intro and get right into it.
Josie Maran Pure Argan Oil ($16 – $48): Let’s take a dramatic moment of silence right in the beginning of this post…Yes, ladies and gents. The Skincare Gods have delivered a gift for parched sensitive skin. I have tried countless facial oils, and while I have found nothing that can replace my Fresh Seaberry Oil, this comes in at a close second. I have repurchased this over and over and now, I reckon I will have to again. It massages into the skin so effortlessly, it’s hydrating, leaves the skin looking noticeable glowy, and because it is 100% pure argan oil, it’s super gentle on the skin. If you have dry skin, definitely give this one a try.
Soap and Glory Clarity Facial Wash ($12): This face wash is the definition of “a little goes a long way.” For real. A dime size amount lathers into a super cleansing foam with tiny scrubbing beads that leave the skin revitalized and fresh. Plus it is budget friendly AF. I used this as my morning cleanser because it gave a tingly and awakening feeling. Although it is formulated for combination/oily skin, it did not dry out my already dry skin at all. This was another situation where I bought it solely for the smell and not necessarily because it was “meant” for dry skin (teehee). Overall, I would purchase it again.
Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Radiance Lotion ($33): Honestly, I bought this because I love the Fresh Lotus Face Cream so fuckin’ much (and because the lotion was cheaper, hunty). I love the fact that it has a pump and it applies a very light layer on the skin. It has the same lovely cucumber scent as well. Unfortunately, I felt that it did not moisturize my skin enough. I knew it wouldn’t apply as #thicc and penetrate as deeply as the Lotus Face Cream, but I was expecting a tad more hydration than I got. I think this would be the perfect daily face lotion for some, but because of my dessert dry skin, I would not buy this again.
Morphe Blush Trio in “Pop of Coral” ($12): I am a fan of Morphe, so when I saw they released these blush trios, I knew I had scoop one up quick. I actually ordered “Pop of Rose” and received “Pop of Coral” instead. But when I opened it up, like Jaclyn Hill always says, “Biiiiiitch!” I have an obsession with nude blushes so this ended up being the happiest accident. The packing is so sleek and compact and the color pay-off of the blushes is top notch. I will definitely be picking up more of these trios in the future, whether my wallet wants me to or not. But…they are only $12. Time to add to cart.
Too Cool for School Egg Mellow Cream ($36): This moisturizer gives me all the feels. It has cute packaging with a pump, it smells like vanilla creamy delight, and it is a 5-in-1 miracle that works as a serum, priming moisturizer, eye cream, neck cream, and sleeping mask. Like…how? Honestly, idk but I would say it does all of the above. My skin feels softer, it doesn’t leave my skin greasy and it adds the perfect amount of hydration. The only minor thing I would say is even though it moisturizes my eye area, it does not help with the darkness of my under eye circles. I will probably need to get a separate eye cream soon to aid me with that, but until then I will stick with using concealer or hiding behind my glasses because this face moisturizer is the shiiiiit. I would 100% purchase again.
Tarte Gifted Mascara ($23): Well, it happened. I found a mascara that is right on par with my L’Oréal Telescopic mascara (gasp!) It is the perfect everyday mascara. It lasts all day and doesn’t bleed or flake whatsoever. I look for lengthening rather than volumizing mascara and this lengthens your lashes for light years. The only downside is it is $23 compared to the $10 L’Oréal mascara. Would I pay the $23 once my sample runs out though? Abso-freaking-lutely. Name that show and were BFFs forever.
